“Official [PA] Government Spokesman Ibrahim Melhem… explained thatIsrael is exploiting the [Coronavirus] epidemic in order to thwart the Palestinian measuresthrough invasions, the arrest of Jerusalem District Governor [Adnan Ghaith] and [PA] Minister of Jerusalem Affairs [Fadi Al-Hadmi] (arrested April 5, 2020, and April 3, 2020, respectively for violating the Israeli ban on PA political activity in Jerusalem –Ed.), the removal of the [PA] Security Forces’ checkpoints in Bethlehem, and also through the occupation’s presence in weak areas in order to weaken the national immunity, which helps the spread of the epidemic.”
